Meeting of the COST Action KGELL Management Board at NASK
On the previous Monday, our researchers had the pleasure of hosting representatives of the Management Committee of KGELL EU COST Actionat our headquarters.

The meeting marked another step in building collaboration and exchanging knowledge in the area of developing Large Language Models (LLMs) and Knowledge Graphs within the Department of Natural Language Processing. As part of the event, the first meeting of the Action’s Management Committee was held, chaired by the initiator of the meeting, Head of the Natural Language Processing Department, Wojciech Kusa.
Knowledge graphs represent an important direction in the evolution of LLMs, enabling the formal modeling of decision-making processes in AI systems. Knowledge Graphs are used, among others, in web search engines and specialized systems. Basic language models, trained to perform a wide range of tasks, encounter limitations when applied to domains that require specialized expertise and complex data structures. The use of knowledge graphs allows LLMs to be specialized for specific tasks and domains, as well as to support more transparent and reliable reasoning. The solutions discussed by researchers enable broader reasoning capabilities, helping to reduce bias and the phenomenon known as model “hallucinations.”
Wojciech Kusa is one of two representatives from Poland serving on the Action’s Management Committee, which demonstrates the high level of expertise of our researchers.
We have already congratulated Wojciech on his achievements, but we are proud to do so once again. We congratulate him on the excellent organization of the meeting and look forward to further collaboration and future publications related to the Action’s activities.
