NLP Specialist from NASK Awarded START Scholarship!
Arkadiusz Modzelewski, NLP specialist working in the Language Model Architecture Team at NASK, has been awarded the prestigious START scholarship granted by the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP).
The FNP START scholarship is one of the most important distinctions for young researchers in Poland. Each year, it is awarded to 100 outstanding scientists representing all fields. The program is dedicated to researchers under the age of 30 (with allowances made for career breaks). In this year’s edition, only four recipients represent the field of computer science, further highlighting the significance of this achievement.
The Foundation recognized Arkadiusz Modzelewski’s contributions in the area of detecting disinformation and persuasive techniques. His research has resulted in publications at leading international conferences such as ACL, EMNLP, and EACL. He has also served as a reviewer for these events and, this year, has been invited to join the reviewer panel for NeurIPS.
