Evaluation Results Announced: NASK Awarded an A Rating!
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has published the results of the latest research quality evaluation. NASK was ranked among the top 18 institutions.

The most recent evaluation covered period from 2022 to 2025. In total, the Ministry assessed 28 research institutuions in 1,241 scientific disciplines. NASK was one of 48 institutions in Poland assessed in the discipline “computer science and telecommunications”.
One of NASK’s key objectives for this evaluation period was to increase its scientific publication output. The results demonstrate significant progress: the number of publications increased from 27 in 2023 to 57 in 2025.
This positive trend has continued into 2026. Since the beginning of the year, 14 publications worth 140 points have already been registered in the Polish Scientific Bibliography (PBN), along with 10 publications eligible for the 200-point category pending review.
Receiving an A rating confirms the high quality of NASK’s research, its contribution to scientific advancement, and its impact on both the economy and society. The Institute’s results in 2026 indicate that this positive trajectory is being maintained and provide a strong foundation for further development.
Our next goal is further to increase the number of publications in the highest-ranked journals and to expand collaboration with leading research institutions in Poland and abroad.
What Was Evaluated?
The evaluation was based on three key criteria:
- the scientific quality of research activities, including publications and patents,
- the commercialization of scientific research and development work,
- the impact of scientific activities on society and the economy.
Together, these criteria provide a comprehensive assessment of both the quality of research conducted and its practical application, as well as its contribution to social and economic development.
This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the entire NASK team: researchers, experts, implementation teams, and all those supporting the Institute’s activities. It demonstrates that high-quality research can be successfully translated into solutions that address the real challenges of the modern world.
