The seminar will focus on creating and maintaining a framework for responsible and trustworthy artificial intelligence, consisting of elements such as data governance, AI risk management and AI governance (including ML/AIOps). The meeting will address topics such as ensuring data availability for AI systems processing, model explainability, selected legal (AI Act) and regulatory aspects, and operationalization of the Responsible AI concept, including the issue of setting implementation metrics. The seminar will be aimed at introducing the issue and opening the discussion that is necessary to create the conditions for the creation and development of artificial intelligence systems that promote the well-being of society.

Michał Nowakowski, PhD – legal counsel, expert and trainer in the field of implementation and development of artificial intelligence systems (machine learning, deep learning, LLM) from business, technological and legal perspectives, as well as ICT risk management. He has more than 12 years of experience working with major financial institutions and other regulated entities and technology solution providers. He has advised banks, telecoms, retail and industrial entities and eCommerce platforms, where he was responsible for key areas related to the implementation of new technology solutions. He has participated in legislative work, including co-authoring a legal opinion for a shadow rapporteur on the AI Act of 2021. He is the co-founder and CEO of GovernedAI, which cares about the safe and responsible and ethical implementation of artificial intelligence solutions. He was deputy chairman of the Law and Ethics Subgroup of the Working Group on Artificial Intelligence at the Office of the Prime Minister from 2021 to 2023. He is chairman of the Artificial Intelligence Section of the Polish Informatics Society.
